Ajax midfielder Demy De Zeeuw has confirmed a move to Spartak Moscow via his Twitter page.
The Dutch international has surprisingly lost his starting place at Ajax last season and has now decided to accept an offer from Spartak.
The 28-year-old has revealed he is set to sign a three-year deal with the Russian club.
I will undergo a medical in the coming days and move to Spartak Moscow for three seasons if everything goes well, De Zeeuw revealed on his official Twitter page.
Long conversations with both clubs eventually made me decide to leave Ajax this summer.
Spartak will reportedly pay €6 million for the player who joined Ajax from AZ Alkmaar in 2009.

Redknapp Eyeing World-Class Talent
According to The Telegraph, Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp is targeting Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente. Redknapp is reportedly looking to add Llorente to the squad prior to selling his other strikers. If a deal with Llorente can be reached soon, out of form striker Peter Crouch may be set for a move to Stoke City, who launched a final attempt to sign the England international this week. Athletic Bilbao are expecting Spurs to match Fernando Llorente s buy-out clause of €36 million (£31.6 million) in order for a deal to be reached.

Carlos Tevez has been handed a long-awaited international recall by Argentina coach Gerardo Martino.
The Juventus striker has not played for his country since their 2011 Copa America quarter-final defeat to Uruguay, apparently due to a personality clash with former boss Alejandro Sabella.
However, Martino who took over from Sabella after Argentina s World Cup final loss to Germany in July said earlier this month that he would not be averse to bringing Tevez back into the fold.
Tevez has been in superb form for Juve this season, scoring eight goals in 10 appearances, and Martino has rewarded the 30-year-old with a place in his 25-man squad for Argentina s friendlies against Croatia and Portugal next month.
The Argentina national team revealed Martino s sel…
Darren Ferguson expects the return of Aaron McLean to galvanise Peterborough United ahead of Saturday s League One clash with Swindon Town.
Striker McLean this week rejoined Peterborough on loan from League One rivals Bradford City until the end of January.
The 31-year-old frontman made his name in a four-year spell at London Road, scoring 78 goals in 174 appearances before joining Hull City in 2011.
Peterborough have picked up just one point from their last four games in the third tier of English football and have subsequently slipped to seventh in the table.
Manager Ferguson believes the return of McLean could prompt an upturn in fortunes as he prepares to face a Swindon side that ended leaders Bristol City s unbeaten record last weekend.

It goes without saying that last season was one that Crotone fans will not forget in a hurry.
In fact, most Serie A supporters definitely won t be forgetting Crotone s debut appearance in the top flight. Up until the last nine rounds, the Squali were drowning rather than staying afloat. For all intents and purposes, it seemed like their first ever sojourn into the upper echelon of Italian football was set to end even before it begun.
On matchday 29, they were sitting in 19th place, leaving many to wonder if Crotone could indeed and survive the drop. Up until then, Davide Nicola s side had won just three games: against Chievo, Pescara, and Empoli. The Flying Donkeys became the team with the dubious honor to lose both home and away against the minnows when they were defe…

Stefano Pioli is remaining positive despite Milan missing the chance to go top of Serie A with a 1-1 derby draw against Inter at San Siro.
Former Rossoneri midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu scored an early penalty before Stefan de Vrij s own goal levelled the scores, and Ciprian Tatarusanu was needed to deny Lautaro Martinez after a second spot-kick was conceded.
However, the result means Milan have picked up 32 points in the opening 12 games of a Serie A season for the first time in the three-points-for-a-win era (since 1994-95) and remain unbeaten in the league after 12 games.
Rossoneri boss Pioli feels there is plenty to be encouraged by from his side s season so far and from the performance against reigning champions Inter.
The glass is half-full, Pioli sa…
Although the Premier League campaign might only be getting back underway following the enforced break, there is no doubt that clubs up and down the country will be drawing up their summer transfer list.
With it confirmed on Thursday that German marksman will make the move to Stamford Bridge next month, there still remains plenty of speculation surrounding another star striker.
Making his return on Friday night and watching Manchester United snatch a late point in North London, Harry Kane is a player who has had a string of question marks surrounding his future.
Refusing to rule out a potential move away from Jose Mourinho s side in an interview with back in March, Kane said: I ve always said if I don t feel we re progressing as a team or going in the right dir…
Arsenal are interested in signing Anthony Gordon from Premier League rivals Everton in the January transfer window, . The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed on Twitter that the Gunners are keen on the English winger.
Gordon is one of the best young wingers in the Premier League and has been playing well for Everton last season. The attacker would make Arsenal a better and more potent team and would enhance the Gunners’ chances of winning the Premier League title this season.
However, it is hard to see Everton sell Gordon in the January transfer window. There is a chance that the Toffees could get sucked in a relegation battle, and the Merseyside club will surely want to keep hold of their best players.

Gareth Bale will not start when Wales face Belgium in Cardiff for their final World Cup Group E qualifying match as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury.
Wales are already assured of a place in the play-offs going into Tuesday s game due to their Nations League results.
But they need at least a point against Belgium to be sure of finishing second to Roberto Martinez s men in the pool, which would give them the best chance of a home draw in the play-off semi-finals.
The Czech Republic are still in with a chance of catching Wales.
Real Madrid attacker Bale won his 100th cap from the start as Wales thrashed Belarus 5-1 on Saturday before being taken off at half-time in a planned substitution.
